Default Wheel upgrades

It'll be time for new tires in the not so distant future on our '16 CD and I'm really wanting to upgrade from the stock 18" wheels. I was thinking about only going to 20's since it's my wife's daily and soon-to-be baby transport. It doesn't have air suspension, so I'm hesitant to go much larger than 20" in fear of negatively affecting the ride, but I'm open to suggestions from those with real world experience. I've also noticed that there aren't too many options available for aftermarket wheels on these. I was really hoping for some HRE FlowForm wheels, but I'm told they won't handle the weight. Any suggestions on quality aftermarkets that look good and wont break the bank?

the factory 20" Spyder wheels are great looking options. Breaking the bank is relative.

20'' is the perfect aesthetic and handling size.

Keep us UTD on your search. Good luck.

Head to eBay and look for either a set of tims, tires, center caps and TPMS (IIRC 755 is the frequency for 2016MY. I know Porsche changed frequencies but can not t remember if it was 2015 or midyear 2016).. 20"ers are the way to go. 21's might have too low a profile for your areas. Here in StL MO out roads are too beat up for bigger rims. I have a set of 20" Sport Rims sitting in my garage. Probably have a center caps that would work. You would need tires and TPMS. Not new but good shape. I was going to put winter tires on them but picked up a set of RS rims while thinking about it.

The 20" RS Spyder wheels are currently at the top of my list. However, I'm hoping to find something with larger spacing between the spokes so it'll be easier to keep them clean, along with the painted calipers. I really like the black and machined Sport Classic II's, but it seems they're only available in 22". The search continues

Just be aware that the RS Spyders come in several different widths and offsets. You do not want the Panamara setup. You want the stock Cayenne width and offset.

Personally, I love the wheels...run them as three seasons here in Massachusetts, with five spoke 18" wrapped in Nokian R3 winter tires.

I was going the Spider route as well but found these 20 inch turbo 2 replicas. I like them, figure I’ll run them til I find something better.

I had 21’s but Michigan Roads are bad as can be.

I've got the 20" RS Spyders and love the look but to your point, they're a pain in the a** to clean. Probably takes me just as long to clean the wheels as it does the rest of the car. I guess it's the price one pays for the look but should also think about getting lower dust brake pads.

I got a set of Hawk ceramic low-dust pads from TireRack if you (or anyone) want them, just cover shipping. The box is pretty small but they are heavier than they look. I don't have a use for them, bought them maybe 6 months ago. New, and free.

Hawk HB761 Z.593 "Ultra Low Dust Ceramic" - just taking up room on the shelf. Check fitment - mine is a '13 S. PM is best.

(EDIT: these are being shipped to a member here)

Hello fellow Cayenners (if thats even a word lol) have the 21" Turbo II wheels on my rig now but toying with the idea of going aftermarket maybe 22"

Can you guys post up your wheel set up if you've changed it up?

I think I've narrowed my selection down to these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194198253463

Other than being from China and not OEM, is there any reason why I should avoid them? All the specs appear to be correct for our '16 CD.
