Just confirm you put the 25A red wire in the blue plug and took a feed for this from the green plug?

This thread is very timely, I'm currently looking for a towbar for my new to me 958.2 with the air suspension. The electric swivel would be a nice touch but not essential. But thank you for the detailed write up. As I was also considering the Audi bar, so it's good to know what's possible. 👏

Yes that's right. I ended up buying a plug to use, but you could always cut the wire and chop it in directly.

Mine is working fine now. The main issue is getting a module and switch for the boot as they are both quite rare. A used module worked fine for me though and required no programming.

I managed to get it all sorted for about £400 - so comparable with getting a fixed towbar installed yourself - but obviously a bit more involved with the wiring side of things.

Thanks Alfie i am currently waiting for the connectors etc arrive to make up the loom I have the switch and module bit nuts you cant buy this small loom from Porsche
