Default Any Michelin CrossClimate SUV tire reviews here?

Just upgraded to 20 inch rims on OEM Pirelli's and it's been a massive upgrade for the CD. Only issue is that it has 2015+ tpms sensors which is causing that endlessly annoying notification on startup. If I need to break the beads to have correct sensors installed, I'm thinking about just switching to the Michelin CrossClimate SUV tire as it's 3 peak winter rated. So I could in theory sell off the stock 18s, the winter 18s, the almost brand new Pirelli's and the 2015 tpms sensors. Just want to make sure the winter grip is actually good on these tires before jumping into this project.

They are excellent, for all weather tires (note all-weather, not just all-season. Big difference) that are 3PMSF rated. One of our fleet cars (Audi Q5) has them. Still not as good as a dedicated set of Blizzaks. I only run dedicated winter tires on all of my personal vehicles (well, at least the ones that don't hibernate for the winter...). But if you don't have storage for an extra set, then the Cross Climates are a great choice. So are Nokian WRG4 SUV (though not sure if they have your size) as all-weather tires, they are also 3PMSF rated.

Thanks for the feedback Trio. I've heard a lot of good things about these tires, so it's great to get some confirmation. I have the room for the winters, but our actual snowfall has been really minor the last few years, plus if it gets horrible she can work from home. So a good all weather tire just seems like the best option for simplicity. Plus I hear these are amazing in rain which makes me feel good for her long high speed commute. Gonna give these a go. Will update later. Thanks!

I have uses a couple sets of Perelli Scorpions and they are excellent M&S but for real snow I have a set of Bliizaks that are great but they are like having dummies on all 4 wheels and not safe at high speed but best of any dedicated snow only tire.

I put them on my wife's Q5 this winter and feel much better about her driving in snow. They have way more grip than the Conti DWS06+ I run on my CD, I will likely get a set before next Winter.

Is she happy with the noise and comfort of them?

Yes, very much so. They seem a little more noisy to me but she didn't even notice. We have pretty bad roads here so the amount of noise is definitely dependent on the road surface.

Great, thanks for all the info. I haven't been able to find any real negative reviews, so hoping all the swapping around and selling of things is worth the hassle.

Put them on my grandmother's CR-V and was am satisfied. Very quiet, though they are a highly directional pattern which means that they will be more prone to noise if they wear unevenly.

I'll be honest, the wife has been so thrilled with the ride on the new OEM 20" Pirelli's that I've been scared to make a change. lol. I still want to swap over though so I can stop worrying about winters, so maybe now is the time. The only negative I've heard is noise, but that's wildly varied, so not even sure if that's an actual concern.

I'll chime in here. I live in a tropical climate without snow, but lots of rain at times and temps that rarely fall below 60/65, with average temps around 75-85.

I tried a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and they wore awfully. I get an alignment every year. They were cupped, wore uneven, didn't last long either.

I just replaced all 4 corners with Conti sportcontact dws06 and i'm very happy. A little noisier then i'd like but honestly not terrible. And at $350 a corner a little less expensive.

I put them on my S about 5k ago and really like them. Most of my driving is long distance with some mountain and snow driving and they have performed very well. I will definitely buy again unless something better becomes available in the future.
I use to use Conti DWS tires, as they had good snow grip but after 2 blow outs on the highway for reasons I could not determine, I have said adios to tires from Continental.

I have the DWS06+ on my 958 at the moment, but having tested the CC2 extensively I chose it for my wifes SUV (Kia Sorento so a little different.)

They're never going to be the sharpest handling tire, but their grip in the snow and dry is outstanding for the all weather category.
