when you run vinanalytics, auto ones will say e2 TIP at the top. Also all platinum editions are autos.

OP said he thought there to be 36manual 958 Cayennes in the country.

Shame there's so few, part of me hoped I'd stumble upon a cheap high miler but I'm sure as people realize how rare they are that is less likely to occur haha

I have one!

Mine is a 2014 Base model, the only second generation model available in the US with a manual as I understand it. Searched nationwide for about six months and finally found the right one about 100 miles away. I may have spent slightly too much for it, but I’m happy with the car. It’s a real hoot to drive. I never thought you could drive an SUV with such great handling.

I don’t think 36 is the correct number. I read on this forum somewhere that there were 36 first generation V8 models with an MT. I believe the base model MT numbers are much higher. Even then, there are probably no more than a few thousand total from all year models.

Interesting configuration on the Carvana Cayenne - skid plate, 4 way climate and 14 way seats.

I wish our two SUVs had 4 way climate...

In my six month search I ran across a ragged high miler in Minnesota that was cheap. I was interested in pursuing until I found out how rusty it was. If you keep searching nationwide you can probably find a high mileage first gen model.

skid plate, meh ... you can always add this but when I saw this I was thinking, what was in the head of the owner/dealer who check this box on the order?

as for the 4 way climate, why? do you have two kids in the back seat that fight over being cold or too hot? what am I missing here?
imho, the 4 way seems like an option that is just something more to break (especially if you put kids back there)
rear heated seats I understand (I have that) but anything more? meh...
