2015 90,000. No issues at all. Well I guess they did replace the turbo last moth under warrantee. That is not very common.
Timing chain cover leaks are a thing on the 2013 and 2014. Mine is dry as a bone underneath.
I plan on keeping it a long time. I no longer have a DPF, EGR or DEF system……Malone took care of that.
Runs like the wind…

Malone? Info please, I'm guessing that's a tune of some sort? I can tell you that from the little I've read so far on the CD vs what I've learned about a Wrangler EcoDiesel for example, everything from the factory is extremely neutered from the EPA perspective, and after warranty is gone definitely seems the way to go.

With regard to being "extremely neutered"...drive a base Cayenne and then a stock CD.
While the stock CD won't rush off the line like a V8, it does have plenty of low end torque and lots of midrange quickness. Merging onto a highway. Boom. I can't tell you how many times oncoming traffic moves over to let me in (yes, people here on Cape Cod are good that way) and then wonder where I went.

Seriously, if you haven't driven one yet...go do that now. We're looking forward to your trip report!

But...with 100K and lots of minor boo boos...
Also, the extended diesel warranty runs out in about 5K miles.
The good news is that the seller mentions that he had the NMAutomotive CarPlay adapter installed...I wonder if it's the local shop listed in about photo 180 or so. I'm going to call them tomorrow to inquire about them installing my NMAutomotive adapter...

Hi everyone, enjoyed reading everyones comments. As this is one of the more recent threads on older CDs, wanted to get thoughts on a purchase I am near completing. Looking at a 2013 CD w/ 71k miles. One owner, no incident on carfax.
I called the local Porche dealerships and Fidelity for extended warranty quotes. Dealerships came in around $7.5k before taxes @ 60 months, Fidelity @ $12K which is quite ridiculous. From all of the threads I have read, it doesn't seem like many people have issues with their CDs...almost to the point of debating whether the extended warranty is worth it. My goal ultimaely is to own, enjoy, and not worry about large out of pocket incidents, and in the event of something going wrong, cost is covered and get to enjoy the loaner while it gets fixed (take your time!). This scenario would be accomplished with the Platinum plan coverage undoubtedly. But, based on your experiences, do I need to go with the full Platinum coverage, or should I price out a more specific, limited coverage plan based on known and documented issues specific to CDs? ... if so, what would that look like?
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Hey @Spence8 here is some extended warranty information from both of our providers to consider with your purchase Fidelity is extremely mileage sensitive so that would be the explanation for the price difference. Fidelity and Freedom Warranty are accepted at all Porsche dealers and licensed independents in the country, 100% claims acceptance between both providers for all Highline Autos customers. My contact information is tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any questions and would like to see example contracts that explains coverage.

Freedom Coverage is identical to Fidelity, with the same claims rate as Fidelity as well. As a provider of both policies, I have a Freedom on my personal vehicle. Fidelity has an unlimited payout on their policy, but you are paying for it with the premium, where Freedom has a limit of $20k for your Cayenne Diesel... as someone who can see both ends, it is much easier to come out a head of $5,500 than $9k+. Fidelity is referenced to most often because they have the name and reputation, dealerships will repackage 3rd party warranty coverage under their own name all the time, but with Fidelity, it is more likely they will leave it alone.
