I have ZERO intention of ever selling mine but I truly, honestly hope if you sell yours, you get that "5" you're hoping for! I paid top dollar for my 958.2 (it was a stop-sale car from a dealer), probably (definitely?) overpaid and was pretty saddened to see them selling for low-mid 30s within a year. If they're back up into the 50's for well-optioned ones, that's good news.

I received over the "5" number from insurance company for my totaled 2016 CD . 52K miles, platinum edition, 18 way seats, pano, heated/vented seats, hitch, roof rails, very nice 21" spider wheels( i miss them) .

Wow.. Mine has double the miles yours does, but similarly loaded (PP+) and I just had a full inspection from the dealer that came back flawless. Hopefully values stay this high for a year when I'll be looking to sell (Looking at a move overseas).

For anyone keeping score: sold the car locally today at $54K including both sets of wheels, without the eurowise bar / driving lights.
Anyone want to buy a eurowise baja bar??

Wow congrats. Makes me want to try to sell mine (air, <29K miles) but I don't know what I'd replace it with!

Geez! I feel sorry for the not so poor guy who paid that. What was the in service date for that diesel?

WOW $54k?!
I briefly entertained trading mine in last week, local dealer had a really really nicely optioned '22 Macan on the floor in Papaya Orange. They offered me $30k even on trade, which frankly I thought was pretty good. Mine has 94k miles on it but it's otherwise loaded similar to the OP's... 2015 (so a .2), Premium Plus (PDLS+ etc), Burmester, tow hitch....
I guess maybe when I really DO decide to sell... I'll try private market first!

Why would you feel sorry for someone finding their 'unicorn' car, and paying what they felt was a fair price? It's not like these cars are out there growing on trees.
If you want to feel sorry for someone, I'd direct that toward the 992 crowd and their ADM's on base spec cars!

keep in mind there was only
15,239 Cayenne Diesels were sold in the USA
& around 2,300 (approx.), sold in Canada
so if your looking for a Porsche Diesel in North America that is it!
unless you want a 1950s/1960s tractor ?
now given this engine is also in Audi & VW but thats not the point
all these diesels engines were eligible for the extended warranty
how many cars/trucks these days have a 10 year (approx.) factory warranty?
of course some will not use it but on average it will push the lifespan of these longer, more parts available in the system, dealership mechs that have seen it because its covered, etc.
does any of this mean unicorn pricing? meh ... in my dreams but 54k? for a CD without air!? ... just wow
what if it had air, 60k? 65k? to the moon!?
meh price does not matter, when people ask about my CD if I would sell it... i say, sure after I am dead
