moon roof rattle covered by CPO?
 

Hey guys,

I bought a 2016 Cayenne under CPO.. I am hearing 'rattling' from the moon roof area.. is this covered under CPO?

it should be covered but .maybe do a few checks first?

have you checked its function / open/closed? does it rattle then?
when is the last time you confirmed the internal area was cleaned?
(& more importantly when is the last time you confirmed your cowl drains where cleaned? (behind the tires, it drains the moonroof / sunroof run off, check into that separately. Dealerships "should" do this as part of their oil change service.)

that said, if these sunroof rails are clean, I believe this is the lubricant that is recommended for use on the rails. Maybe someone else can confirm?

My '17 CPO had the same issue and was covered. They said they only lubed the rails. Whatever they did it worked.

Thx guys.. ill bring her in when I get some free time.. it rattles even when the pan roof is closed.. and typically when you gov over a bumpy road

also curious about this— having the same issue with my 2017 cayenne turbo. Noise coming from rear passenger side of pano roof when going over bumpy roads or turning into driveway. Any solution? Already tried the seal lubricant etc. sounds like mine is coming from where the headliner and sunshade overlap the glass.
