P0114 Check Engine Light
2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo has been presenting with CEL P0114 (Intake air temperature sensor voltage intermittent).
Tested battery and found that it was below spec. Replaced battery in October 2020 (10 months ago) and cleared codes. Everything was fine until last month when the CEL came back. Tested battery again and battery is healthy.
Is there a way to test if the intake temp sensor has gone bad? Also, since this is the Turbo, I am under the impression that the intake air temperature sensor is integrated into the boost pressure sensor. Is this correct?
If not the sensor, has something gone wrong in the DME? It looks like Connector B, Contact 41 is responsible for this sensor.
I have a durametric that I can use if someone can point me in the direction of what to look for diagnostically.
Next steps will be to check all wiring and then assess the sensor itself unless anyone has any better ideas.
This issue has caused the car to shut off after long periods of idling. The car has also gone into a "limp mode". In each case (rare), turning the car off, then on again gets it back to full power.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
