'16 Cayenne Radio problem
Hey all, new here with a issue on my 2016 Cayenne. This is my 3rd Cayenne over the past 6 years and my very first issue. Have owned this one for the last 3 years and it has been fantastic. My issue started this past weekend and wondering if anyone has come across this issue before. I believe my Cayenne has the basic stereo, not the Bose or Burmiester. Basically as soon as I unlock the vehicle and open the drivers door I am immediately greeted by loud static noise coming from the right speaker in the dash as well as the upper right speaker in the door. This is before I have turned the key on. If I start the vehicle the noise continues with the radio on or off. I get normal music coming from the back of the vehicle and if I shift all the balance to the front I get music coming from the left side of the vehicle but it sounds muffled. If you proceed to drive the vehicle at times the static noise will completely go away and then come back but quieter. My first thought is it must be a failed amplifier but have no idea where it might be located. Would there be a fuse somewhere I can pull to rule that out? The only fuse I saw in the owners manual is #51 on the passenger side but pulling that fuse did not stop the static noise from coming back. Any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Finally found a video showing where the amp is located on youtube. Its located in the right rear wall of the luggage area. Pulled the interior panels apart to get to it and found that some of the pins on the connector look a little funny and dirty. Cleaned it all up and put in a touch of Dielectric grease to insure a good connection and my static issue appears to be gone. Still don't have sound in the upper front speakers, just bass out of the bottom door speakers and full sound from the rear speakers. Guessing the amp is failing. Will have to call Porsche in the morning and find out how much a replacement unit will run. Searching the part number online doesn't seem to bring up any places to buy, but lists a number of repair places in the UK.
I would just pull the specs on the amp and a good audio shop should be able to give you some options. The Porsche amp is most likely a third party product to begin with. You'll probably get a nice upgrade for half the price.

Do you have any updates on if/how you resolved your issue?
