I have a 2014 Diesel Cayenne Platinum Edition which I bought to tow my Cayman S to the track. When I tow, I frequently get the message "Reduced Engine Power", then a slowing down of the vehicle until I have to pull over, turn it off and then back on. It then runs fine for a half hour or so and it does it again. Makes for a long trip. I had the dealer check it and they replaced a sensor and said everything checks out. Of course, when I towed again, it started happening. It has never done it while not towing and drives great. Towed car, trailer, extra tires, fuel weigh in at under 3500 lbs., way under the tow rating of the Cayenne. Any ideas on this situation?

Sounds like it's going into "limp mode" which it will do when it detects somethings wrong. You will need to check for codes to figure out what's up.

High pressure fuel pump?
How many miles? Also sounds like an exhaust issue (particulate or ???) as it warms up and towing....
