I have always enjoyed detailing our cars. I clay bar the car, use Gyeons' polish, and then remove remnants with Gtechnic's prep product. Then I apply Gtechniq C2V3. It is not a professional grade coating by any means. The car stays cleaner and beads nicely (I can also take some of the coating, mix it it 50/50 with water and use it as a drying agent, which extends the life of the C2V3). About every second wash, I do use Gyeon Quartz to extend the life of the coating.

I do all of the above because I enjoy it. If I didn't, I would get a pro to do it. The paint correction is more important than the coating. I did buy a professional coating, but have never used it, because I am not confident that I can prep the car properly (paint correction). I have thought about taking my wife's car to a pro (a 2014 Jet Black Panamera S -ehybrid.....black cars are a pain).

I do believe ceramic is worth it.

It’s worth it! The best thing about it is that it gives the paint more depth and makes it look super glossy. I did it myself using Gtechniq products.
