Default Fuel rail or injector leaking?

I believe I've pin-pointed my fuel smell to the number 1 (i think 1, front left facing engine) fuel rail-to-injector connection. It was dirtied up, a slightly damp around the mounting nut and base. All the rest were spotless and dry.

So...

$140 injector, or $400 fuel rail? How would you test either one?

Further investigation leads me to believe it's the injector. Now to find a Witch hunter in Germany...
