Default Trickle Charge

Is there an interior cig port where you can plug a trickle charger into?

Nevermind. I just plugged into the center console Cig Lighter. It seems to be charging. We'll see.

That outlet (and the one in the passenger's footwell) shuts off after a period of time when the key is off. I'm not sure about the outlet in the hatch area, but it probably is similar.

@Quadcammer You're saying if it's charging, that port stays active even when the key is off for 30+ minutes? Interesting!

I hooked the pigtails matching colors in the engine bay for jumping the car. Red to nut to be unscrewed under a red plastic cover with a big + sign. Ground/black stem is just a weird shape nut which you can unscrew with a socket.

Not following what the challenge is here.

I believe so. My ctek charger (same as porsche charger) shows the green light after several days. It doesn't flash like it would if its not connected.

I've had no issues with it.

My Deltran Battery Tender charged up my Cayenne's battery just fine using the Cig lighter in the center console. 958.2

I charge the 997 and 991 the same way.

Red goes to red. Black goes to the ground post nut. Remove the plastic guard to get to the post fasting nut.

The metal post is where you would clamp the black jumper cable. Remove the plastic shroud and follow that to where the fasting nut is.

That's how I have to use my trickle charger, connect them to the terminals under the hood which is a pain I have to open the hood. I used to utilize the cigarette lighter in the center console but it would get shut off after 15 minutes or so after the ignition is turned off. The weird thing was it didn't use to turn off but maybe the dealer changed the programming or something after a service and it stopped working. I have 2011 958.1.
