Default Premium for CPO Cars?

Would anyone disagree that, on average, it is around $2,500 - $3,500.

Yes, even though I got mine for $1,500.

Worth it! Don't buy a Porsche without one. Most used Porsches are sold because they start to give the owner problems. Getting their headache but having two years to sort out the mess is more valuable than almost anything.

When I was shopping around, I came across one at what seemed to be almost zero markup over other non-CPO ones. Thy either priced it wrong (no negotiating on price Porsche dealership) or I simply came across a steal.

not sure I agree with that statement. I have had several and I got rid of them for newer models, not bc I was having troubles. The CPO advice I do agree with. That or a fidelity platinum extended warranty.

Still way cheaper than adding an aftermarket warranty. I like to buy cars about 2 years old that are certified so I get 4 years up to 100k miles - works great.

I haven't bought a vehicle that wasn't CPO since I bought new cars. For me it is a combination of the inspection and bringing the vehicle up to the manufacturer's standards plus the extra warranty. It gives me peace of mind to know that I'm getting a vehicle that the manufacturer will stand behind. Hence, I haven't bought a car without CPO yet. RAudi is right....the statement is way too broad. People sell cars for multiple reasons. Most people I know sell their car, because they want something else. If they don't trade it for another of the same, there is no CPO possible.
