I bought a 2011 CPO 958 last Friday. It has 85k miles. So far after a week and 500 miles, I love it. I have owned several Porsches in the past but never the Cayenne. I had only had them as loaners. My wife and I test drove some a few weeks ago and I found this one a few hours away. The only options it doesn't have that I wanted was Pano roof, entry & drive, and clock/chrono. It was the least expensive CPO 958 in the country at $23k.
This was a one owner vehicle and all the maintenance has been done at 2 nearby Porsche dealerships. They even rotated their tires every 5k miles at the dealer. It looks brand new inside and rides great.
I am already thinking of some mods...clock/chrono and dial face gauges to red instead of the black.
Anyway glad to be part of the 958 crowd. Here it is after I drove it home and some of the pics on the dealer website.
Thanks, I appreciate it. The more I drive it, the more I like it!I was looking at the owner's manual this morning and the maintenance book is filled in and stamped everytime the PO took it in. They bought it and serviced it in the same dealer for 7 of the 8 years they owned it. The salesperson that sold it to them still works there. I bought my 911 from him 7 years ago and talked to him a few weeks ago when I started looking.
It's been almost a year since we bought our 2012 CTT. We are the second owners also. Full porsche service history. But unfortunately no cpo. We are super happy with our car. Hopefully you will find the same enjoyment.
So far I have put about 750 miles on it and I love it. Smooth on the road and large enough to haul things I need to...my grown kids.
I have decided on my first mod (I think)...buying wheel arches and painting them body color. Any good sources for them? Used is fine since I am going to have to paint them anyway.
Also if someone wants to swap their gauges...I have black in pristine condition...for red or yellow. Message me...

Thanks! I have been looking and that is about the best price I have seen plus they are OEM parts...can never go wrong with OEM.
So many options and mods to do. Also looking at changing out the exhaust tips...trying to decide whether I do black or stainless....leaning towards black.
Congrats on your new ride! It looks super clean!
I also bought my '11 CPO (back in '14). I'm surprised to hear that yours is CPO. I was always under the impression that Porsche won't CPO a car that over 4 yrs old. Guess I was wrong.
The CPO (warranty) has come in handy, for misc (Mostly electrical) stuff. Hope you won't need it.
Congrats on the purchase, love the color. I just picked the wife up a '13 CD CPO two days ago as well. I was shocked to see a '13, let alone an '11 can be CPO. Wonder what the rules are for that? Either way, huge upgrade from her X5 and thrilled to finally get her out of BMW's. Best of luck with it!
Congrats. It is beautiful. I have the same exterior and interior color as you. I put the black Chinese sport tips on mine (bought them from a fellow Rennlister who decided not to use them), and they look great. From what I understand, any Porsche that meets CPO requirements, regardless of age, will get a two year CPO warranty if the dealer wants it. I always though that a CPO car had to be in its original factory warranty period to qualify.I recently found out that Audi's CPO is only for one year.
Porsches CPO is the best I have seen....2 year unlimited miles. Coupled with the fact Porsche will CPO a vehicle up to 12 years old and up to 124k miles is pretty outstanding. I figure if I don't like it after 18 months or it has a lot of problems, I will sell it with CPO left and get something else. I don't see either of those happening.
I also looked at BMW X3 and Audi Q5 and their CPO was only 1 year unlimited miles...BMW CPO used to be 2 years up to 100k miles from new, but recently (in the last year or so) changed to the 1 year unlimited. The BMWs I have owned have been pretty reliable, but have started having problems at 100k just after warranty expires. However, my BMW dealership always treats me well with loaners and discounts after warranty has expired.
CPO on this Cayenne was just the frosting on the cake...meticulously maintained at the Porsche dealer for everything and 1 owner....made the decision pretty easy.
Agreed, after having six different BMW's over the years, they are a nightmare after 100k. And oddly, the newer the generation, the worse they are. E46's weren't that bad, but after that....yikes. I used to think it was just bad luck as the days of 100k miles being the end of a vehicle is old school thought. But I now truly believe they are built for a 3 year lease cycle. Anything after that is just random luck. This is our first Porsche, we bought with 70k and the wife drives just over 15k/year. So I'll be finding out just how well these compare in 2 years once the CPO expires. Fingers crossed.
