Default Foam to cushion stuff behind dash?

When looking to power gizmos like phone mounts, sometimes there's need for a 12vdc-usb power adapter. Either in-line or via an accessory socket. I've got an inline converter tucked in behind the left fuse panel. There's not a lot of great options back in there to secure it. I'm thinking wrapping it in some foam and using zip ties is probably the 'least worst' option.

My question is what brand of foam gets used for stuff in vehicles? Something that's not going to crumble to dust with the hot/cold temp swings of a car interior?

I mean, yeah, I could just use any old stuff, but it'd be nice to know what's best/worst. Any suggestions?

Sure, that'd work, or maybe air conditioner filter sheet material. Though I'd still like to find the 'correct stuff' before I cobble together something even more DIY.
