2013 Cayenne acceleration hesitation
Slight hesitation on accelerating around 25-28 mph and seems to be mostly 3rd and 4th gear. Worse when she's warmed up.
Ideas?

Base model, 42k miles.
Slight hesitation on accelerating around 25-28 mph and seems to be mostly 3rd and 4th gear. Worse when she's warmed up.
I'm going to take her to shop (don't have time to troubleshoot) but wanted to see if anyone who experienced something similar was able to get to the bottom of it... searched forums and noticed a lot of transfer case discussion. I'm not on here much so apologies if I missed something... any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Gordon

Unfortunately, the described issue is quite common to a model of transmission PL72 ATC, used by Cayenne 958. It is usually caused by worn clutch of the transmission. The hesitation during acceleration is due to the skidding clutch. You can sort this out by changing the disks and updating ECU software of the box afterwards.
There is also one more usual problem that people experience with this model of transmission – the chain is getting loose pretty quick, which means you might experience some twitches during turns. The chain can be purchased online if you are keen to sort this out asap.
We would advise you to find the number of your transmission box if you decide to repair it. It can be found at the bottom of the box’s body next to the “Made is Austria”. This will help you to buy the correct parts for your car.
Let’s us know if we can help with the parts.

See post #4. Search is your friend. https://awd.tech/ is a frequently mentioned source and they also sell on ebay.
