Default Subwoofer retrofit?

Anyone considered and done it or looked into it, is possible without a whole lot of work?

You mean just a box with speakers? This isn't a civic, but you can do anything in terms of sound like that. Just depends what you're trying to accomplish and how much money you want to throw at it.

In the trunk area there is an opening on the driver side - I believe it houses a subwoofer in some models (stock) - wondering if it’s as simple as purchasing the woofer and just connecting up (maybe the connector even exists already). Not looking to run aftermarket woofers - something simple.

oh oh....... in that case, pretty sure that the OE woofer sits in the spare tire well.

What I've learned over the short time of owning one of these cars is that each "thing" in the car uses a module to control it. If yours didn't come with something, then its missing the module as well. Not sure if the subwoofer uses a module, but I bet you can have one of those on Ebay. I'd check where yours is supposed to be located and scour for wiring first. if the wiring is not there, then maybe an aftermarket shop can build you one and set in place with all required wiring.

here is a quick search https://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Porsch...6f6e172662124d

Doesn't you car already have a subwoofer. Burmester comes with a sub. Bose comes with a sub.

I thin I mistook that gap on driver side trunk area for a missing sub, but now that I think about it, I think it’s for the 4 zone Hvac. So there’s no drop in replacement similar to the Ferrari tweeters I take it for a cheap and easy upgrade?

So you already have a subwoofer. What do you want to do. Change it out?

Just looking for cheap and easy upgrades - little more oomph. Just like the Ferrari tweeters (which I already did)
