I'm still unclear on just what's making the noise. Is it the stalk itself rubbing up against the seat or the console? Or is the noise coming from inside the covering on the stalk itself?

its the stalk rubbing against the leather, ill try taking it to the dealer but im not sure if this is a defect as a few of the 2017 have the same set up

UPDATE
I fixed the problem guys. I purchased newbaums bar tape, cloth on one side and tape on the other , I cut a small portion out and wrapped it under the belt buckle so that the plastic no longer touches the leather, no more sounds and it looks like a factory finish!
