Default DFW Indy Repair Shop

All, I'm brand new to the forum with an '11 Cayenne Turbo in need of multiple repairs. Love the local DEALERSHIP, but just can't afford to do all of the repairs there, so looking for a local shop that might be reputable and generally more affordable than the dealership. I hope to try to tackle some of these on my own, but others are well over my pay grade!

1) Brake job
2) Rear driver side window shade malfunctions
3) Rear passenger door will not open from the outside, but will from the inside
4) Found a soaked front passenger floor board this week, and now the A/C will only blow in the rear compartment

Any thoughts on a DFW repair shop that could assist with someof these?

I am curious on this as well.

Just picked up a 2014 S and still have the 2010 base.

In the mid-cities I know there's Zim's Autotechnik & Mayo Specialties. Haven't used either, but they've been around a long time. When I was looking at a used Panamera off NW Hwy, I talked to Euro Automotive there. They seemed pretty knowledgeable. Also, the panamera owner said he had all his work done at Autoscope (near park place porsche dallas).

The best indy shop in DFW is RAC in Carrollton. Used to be the US RUF location - Hans Hoffman is awesome and they are very well known by the Porsche crowd in Dallas.

Autoscope is also very good. Zim's and Mayo's are highly reputable especially for the air cooled cars. Fifth Gear in Lewisville is owned by the ex-shop head from Porsche of Plano (used to be called Boardwalk).

Anyone have more recent experiences to share. I have heard mixed reviews about RAC and I’m hesitant to use them. I just need routine oil change etc and prefer to use an Indy instead of the dealership. Thanks

Also in the mid-cities, if you have a CD, is R Diesel. They are very knowledgeable about the Audi 3.0 V6 in the Cayenne/Q7/Touareg and any VAG diesel (and lots of their gassers).

Geez, how many do you need?!? I listed 5 up above, and not sure what you’ve heard about RAC but they have been great forever. An oil change could probably be done by a monkey on the corner - you are waiting months for more suggestions?

For oil changes, it is hard to beat the dealership for 2 reasons.
All the work they do ends up listed on any CarFax.
Drop off at 7am and get a loaner from Plano Porsche, which is generally some sort of Macan variant.

Yep, I can vouch for Zim's...good guys over there! They've done oil changes and a battery swap on the wife's current DD (a '14 S) and even fixed some issues with her prior ride, an '11 base model. I've used no other indy in DFW, but it's good to know there are some nice options.

How much should I expect for an oil change at any Indy's in DFW? Can I get it done at any kwik kar instead? will they also reset the oil change message?

Wanted to provide recent update.
Used Porsche plano for an oil change and water pump issue. about a month ago. Becky is great. loner is nice and makes life easy.

today went to rac.
they installed soul cats. Hans is great.
they have an amazing setup. Plan on using them for everything else in the future especially if I can do without the loaner.

I use Innovative Autosports in Carrollton for my 981 Boxster S. They are mostly a track build, prep and support shop, but do other maintenance as well.

What’s up guys?

I wanted to bump this thread, as I have a Kline exhaust on the way and wanted to see what other options there were in the DFW area other than the dealer.
