If this is the tapping noise at idle and light throttle coming from the area of the climate controls, its the leak detection pump that sits on the charcoal canister. Its very annoying and replacing it with a new one did not change anything.

yup, I replaced mine and even wrapped it in sound mat. Still clear as day inside. Tappy tappy!
