Default Automatic oil level not working

I have changed the oil via the dipstick draining method during the last three intervals and confirmed full level with dipstick.

I have checked inside via the computer and it has been normal until the last week. It is ok with the dipstick but the message that it is not available at this time keeps coming up. I know this is a pain in the butt on the rs but is this a problem also with the diesel?

I have opened the hood and the oil cap several times without a change.

any thoughts?

Not sure about the diesel but I believe every time you open the hood you cause the setting to recycle so you then need to wait for the magic formula to run to allow reading it electronically again. I think it's 100km or something and/or some number of start/stop cycles.

Drive for a minimum of 30 miles (50 km) or the vehicle must stopped with the engine off for 2 min with an oil temperature of
> 149° F. (65° C.)
