Help me choose between two CDs
Hey guys - torn between two 2015 Diesels and thought I'd stop here for advice. Both are around $40k.
1) Black on Red/Black Interior, fully loaded - pano, leather interior, air suspension, dynamic cruise control... $105k new, 64k miles (non CPO)
2) White on black interior, pano roof but other than that pretty standard, $75k new, 30k miles with CPO + dieselgate warranty (extra two years)
I'll be using this as a DD + ski truck in a very snowy area.
Thoughts?

I mean...kinda depends on whether you like the colors and want the options, no?
I think red interiors, especially in modern luxury cars, look pretty awful, so I would never buy that unit. You might like red, so this makes this kinda pointless.
If it were me, I'd buy neither.

Why neither? I've been tracking the market pretty closely for the last two months and haven't seen anything much more competitive. Have you?

no, i just bought a gas CS. I like the leather too, but i prefer the espresso/cognac I got. CDs don't seem too rare, so I'd wait and see if you can find one that ticks all the boxes

Is this the one you are referring to?

I thought it was interesting but went with my GTS instead. Not sure why it isn't CPO. Call and ask.

I assume when you said "dynamic cruise control" you meant adaptive cruise control. For me that is an important option for long distance driving.
Otherwise, I'll go with the simple one without air suspension. IMHO, the less options, the better for DD. Also, CPO is important for me: A detached seconds dial in the clock will be an expensive repair if you don't know how to re-attach it 😉

Unless the white car is missing any of the "have to have" options for you, it looks like the better deal. Depending on how much you drive, it may take you years to reach 64k miles. I'd be more inclined to own a less complicated CD. The white one is barely broken in.

Black w/ Black/Red interior. Not only a much better color combo (IMO), but it also sounds like a better optioned vehicle. The black/red interior combos on these vehicles (and other higher end performance oriented makes) looks fantastic and adds some interest/'spice' to the otherwise bland all black interiors we see so often. I specifically sought out the black/red interior when shopping around for a Macan. I first saw that interior on an SUV type vehicle in the form of a new 2014 CTTS a few years back, and that did it.
In the end it's your decision though of course. We're all just on the sidelines throwing out personal opinions!
Best of luck!

They both have heated seats? I love my red interior which my SA advised against.

Given those two options I'd probably go with the white. Sticker on mine was 77K and it has premium plus and air suspension so at 75K it is likely reasonably well equipped. Lower miles and longer warranty would definitely make me feel good.
Most of the options on that black one hold little appeal for me (painted and carbon trims, softclose doors, pano, sportdesign, expensive wheels). I'd be a little disappointed to find a $100K MSRP vehicle without Burmeister and rear climate controls. Air suspension is nice, I'm happy I have it but, I dread the day when it starts acting up. I kind view active cruise as a similar luxury. LEDs and Keyless entry are definitely nice to have. Also it you can see a little goop around the suspension controls which would make me wonder if this car has always been as clean as it looks or if the detail department at the dealership just sucks.

I just went online and looked at the black one via the link provided earlier. That's probably the nicest CD I've seen.
IMO the only thing the white one has going for it versus the black one is lower miles and CPO (not insignificant). But Diesels have extended warranty from Porsche anyway, right? Or is that warranty somewhat limited compared to CPO?
