Default PTV Servo Motor malfunction?

I experience a “grind” from the rear end of my 2012 CTT. Is it possible the PTV servo motor is sending irregular signals forcing a lock on the diff inadvertently?

I responded in the other thread but my suspicion is yes- the servo motor is too "aggressive" on how much lock it adds under normal driving conditions. Removing the PTV fuses makes the servo motor default to "off" or "open" and will completely eliminate PTV diff noises, which to me means that 100% of the fault lies in the position of the servo motor and not really within the diff itself.
