Default Oil Drain Crush Washer

Is the Oil Drain Plug Crush Washer available from sources locally that aren't the dealer (autozone, even home depot, etc.)? Would like to change my oil this weekend and dealer is closed for the holiday.

I doubt anyone would have the same washer. The one that is sold by the dealer-VW uses the same one, is a ring of aluminum that is sort of a tube so it actually crushes.

I have 3 or 4 extras. If you lived near me I'd be happy to give you one.

Thanks, you can buy 10 of them on Amazon for $5, which is what I'll do for next time but that still doesn't solve my immediate issue unfortunately. That said, crush washers on drain plugs isn't just a Porsche thing, it's actually quite common. I'll stop by the parts store tomorrow to see if they have them. If not, I'll defer this a few more days until they arrive.

In case anyone else has this issue in the future, I found them online on Advance Auto's site. Will stop by tomorrow and pick one up. Looks like BMW uses the same gasket as well ...

Just did an oil change and didn’t realize I didn’t have one on hand. Thought I could re-use it. Big, messy, mistake.
