Hi
I have a 2012 Cayenne. The leather on the center armrest lid is scuffed so I was able to locate a good used one. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? I can see how I can slide the lid forward but I don't know how to unlock it from the mechanism. Thanks in advance for your help.

You take out the oddments tray liner (service procedure #681619) on the inside of the package box. Do this by lifting up the liner and removing two screws, then lift the tray out. Detaching the wires if necessary. The service manual calls it an oddments tray, but parts diagrams call it a package box insert. Basically, it's the liner inside the center console armrest.
To remove the lid (684819) there will be two screws under the oddments tray holding the hinge in place.
The lid seems to be comprised of three part numbers, as per this parts diagram: (items 21, 22 & 23). The service manual makes no mention of disassembling these three from each other.
