2018 Cayenne S without CarPlay?
I thought all 2018 Cayenne models (with PCM installed standard) had Apple CarPlay. Can someone confirm. I have RTFM and the things they say should be there on the screen appear not present which leads me to believe that my lovely new car isn't endowed with Apple CarPlay - which would be a bummer. Anyone know if this is true or user error?

I believe that in order to get Apple’s CarPlay on the Cayenne or Macan you have to have either the Connect or Connect Plus option packages. It’s not standard with the PCM.

Couple of things - 1) my 2017 Cayenne S has CarPlay and has nothing on the build sheet that calls it out - which leads me to believe it was standard and 2) I almost hate to ask this but you do have the iPhone plugged into the port in the center console don't you? ... and I guess a 3) would be that no one has previously selected that when the iPhone is plugged in that it is only treated as music player....
