'14 CTTS psm failure
Am getting a repeatable PSM failure...30-40 mph on a straight road, steady but aggressive squeeze down of the throttle to FT, boost hits around .9 bar and psm failure engages and car goes into limp mode. Dealer read codes and says it is from wheel spin delta front to rear. I have 295-21's continental DWS. Service tech says too hard of a tire and not Porsche approve tire allowing too much wheel spin. Anybody else have this?
Thanks,

No, never heard of such a situation. I guess it’s possible.....but how probable?? I dunno. Do you feel/detect any wheelspin, however slight? 295/35s are pretty beefy, I can’t imagine even a CTTS powertrain breaking these loose enough from a 30-40mph roll to cause such a condition, even non NO rated tires.

Tires are relatively new. I thought PSM kicks in and you go on your way...not causing a PSM failure mode?????

You need to look into this further, like having a KNOWLEDGEABLE tech assess the reproducible error while driving by monitoring whatever PSM value causes the failure. That's a reason they make the PIWIS computers on laptops, to bring along!

I have the exact tires on my 14 cd and no errors for about 20k miles. 21 inch, air suspension.
These are great tires through last fall and mild winter this year. Rotating 5-7 k good wear. ?To hard for cayenne?
I would look look for something else causing the code.

Dealership canceled appt so need to reschedule. The problem happens with WOT or full boost.

I mean - to anyone knowledgable with cars - this is a total BS.
Change the dealer or write a complain to Porsche NA.

I stopped in today and had a mechanic jump into the car. Pulled onto a side road, hit the gas moderately, the engine went to limp mode and I looked at the mechanic and said was that wheel spin??? No, was his answer and the issue is a fault code for a ignition coil. Hopefully they will do all 8 of them.
