quest,

Try this site: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=285

Also, if you will do a search here on Rennlist, I recall someone posted instructions with pictures.

Congrats - clear side markers definately look much better.
I recieved mine recently and just installed them using the renntech directions. I noticed that ESK (Eric) said that he left the white bulbs in - so did I. Does anyone know of the legalities of white side markers from state-to-state if there is one at all? What other bulb colors would be possible?

Where do can I order the clear side markers? I thought the dealer would have them but they said they didn't carry them.

The dealer does carry them. You will need to order the parts. The part numbers are:

955 631 033 00 Left Clear Side Marker
955 631 034 00 Right Clear Side Marker

This info is from
Renntech.

I just ordered them from my dealer. It took about three days.

I purchased mine from Boardwalk Porsche here in Plano. Check your boxes before you leave to insure you have the right parts...... I wound up with a clear and a yellow and had to go back a second time. Installation is a snap.

Don't know if you can get them in the US, but over in the UK you can buy indicator bulbs that are white untill they flash, when they flash orange; keeps lens looking good, keeps you legal.

I would not call installation a snap...The passenger side is a real bitch to get the upper fastening torx screw screwed in, unless your left handed. Some people just bail out and screw in the readily accessible bottom one..It still holds the unit in place, but not solidly...Suncoast's site says that "professioaal Installation recommended". If you are not handy, I would recommend this. Installing them correctly fastened by both torx screws for each unit is NOT a snap, IMO...

I thought it was just me! You are absolutely right about that top torx screw. For me, the passanger side was easy and I am right handed. But, I had the experience of the driver's side installation to assist me. I think starting that screw a few threads and then slipping the slotted tab under the screw is the best way, short of pulling the wheel and entire liner.
