Default Anyone here with a european 957? Coding turn signals help needed.

I thought I saw that the european 957s have a flashing side marker, I would really like to figure out if this is a coding option.

Can someone tell me how these two lights behave, when you are signaling? In the USA, the left of the light above, comes on and stays on in DRL mode, or if your headlights are on, it never flashes.

With output tests, I am able to control each of the front clear lights individually on the central electronic module, which I think shuts them off when the turn signal flashes. This makes me think this module is the sole module to control this lighting.

Ok, found this video, I can see the side fender light flashes with the DRLs.

What happens at night? Do those fender corners light up?

Would make my day if a european 957 turbo owner could scan their central electric module with VAG-COM and give me the long coding.

Wait till I get back to europe and get my wife's pig back, will scan it. PM me after May 15 in case I forget.

The side markers are signaling, they are not on during the day or night so it is most probably a coding thing.

I can't speak for the 957. But for my 955 '04 S that I had, which spent time in Europe before I had it, the side markers were physically wired to the turn signals. It was not a coding issue.

I suspect that might be the same, as the current signals in the 957 have a place for mounting a bulb, like they may have 2 in there.

The 911s do this, not sure why NA wouldnt, but in my latest coding tool, it suggest turn signals for NAR and ROW, I assume NAR is North America Region, for doing output tests on the signals.

Aren't there design rules that dictate that the DRL needs to switch off on the side the indicator is being used? This is to make the flashing orange light more visible or something during daylight.

This seems to imply it is controlled by computer.

Hey Lupo, can you scan the comfort module, could you also tell me the coding for the tailgate module?

It is a short code.

Thanks!

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but have you found out how to turn on the parking light only without having the headlight on? I really don't want to cut the wire and tap it into the power directly, I saw a lot of threads that people wants to do this but seems like nobody has found the solution?

go ahead, now that the 957 is back home, I can scan what is needed.

and if anyone knows how to enable DRL while it's not dark outside and enable auto on headlight when it gets dark, let me know. now I have DRL lights on and low beam on when switched to auto regardless of outside lighting conditions.
