Hi weirdness in the morning the steering wheel controls for radio, and wipers etc don't work and the lights which light up the steering wheel start flickering on and off any ideas where I have a short in the steering wheel which is cutting power on and off its a 2004 CTT

If this was a short, chances are that the fuse which protects this particular circuit, would fail.

Grasp the steering wheel firmly from 9 & 3 o'clock positions as well as 12 & 6 and proceed to rock in both directions. If the lights flicker, the problem lies with the contact spring at the hub of the steering wheel.

sometimes the lights flicker and the controls work and it's only in the morning very weird I tried the rock the steering wheel no change when it didn't work

Does this happen when you turn or cycle the wheel from end-to-end?

All the time in the morning when I start the car for 20 plus minutes then either the steering wheel lights stay on or start flashing and if I put the lights on full beam they stick on even if it's turned off, is there a module or something which could be loose which controls all the audio and the indicator stalk and the wiper stalk ,,,, very bizarre,
