Default Left Turn Headlamp Signal

I have a 2004 Cayenne S and have had a weird thing happening. I've gotten a warning in the dash that the turn signal lamp was out. I changed the left signal bulb in the headlamp and am still getting the warning and no left turn signal blinking in the headlamp. Anyone else see anything like this? Thanks, Robby

Check inside the lamp housing, for wires touching each other without insulation. It gets real hot inside there and the insulation just crumbles away. Also, make sure the harness connection is solid.

Use the tool to disengage the lamp assembly about 3 inches away and then firmly push the housing into the headlamp cavity. Use the tool to get a 1/2 turn and hear that distinctive, plastic "tok" sound.

I had the same issue. It's usually the tabs on the bulb holder that contract over time, opening the circuit and causing the issue. After trying to stretch the tabs on the holder numerous times, and having the fixes be temporary, I finally just bought another bulb holder....problem solved. Here's the part I'm talking about.

didn't know you could buy the holder. when the plastic fell apart, I found the wire for the bulb, tapped into it and soldered the other end to the connection for the bulb.
