Cayenne S 4.5 Cranks But Wont Start
Hi there
I have a Porsche Cayenne 2004 which cranks but does not start I see the person before has changed the dme ecu as says something like "second hand ecu and transponder" guessing trying to get the car started.
It has a lpgtech lpg conversion.
I also noticed under the bonnet they is a Relay with the outer casing off and if touched cranks the engine I’m guessing somebody used this to crank the engine over.
When cranking by the key it does around 6 cranks then stops.
When using a Porsche diagnostic cable off eBay I get the follow.
DME (Moronic 7.1) - 0 Faults
Tiptronic - 1314
Airbag - No Response
PSM - No Response
Kessy - No Response
Air Con - No Response
Instrument Cluster - No Respnse but after cranking under the bonnet it then worked :/
Gateway - No Response
PCM2 - No Response
Electrical System - No Response
Steering Column Switch - No Response
Wiper - No Response
Transfer Case - No Response
Level Control - No Response.
Diagnostic tests
1. Also the break lights work.
2. Power Either side of yellow fuel switch under seat
3. Battery charged under seat in boot seems to be air tank cant see another battery.
4. Power to battery terminal under the bonnet.
5. Tried jump pack on terminal under bonnet
6. Can smell a tad of fuel out of exhaust when cranking
7. Checked fuses that i could see in drivers side dash end & under bonnet nearside windscreen
