Took temporary possession of a BMW 740e whilst the CTTS goes into the garage for work. It was hit by a lorry whilst parked outside my house

Amazed by how smooth the ride in the BMW is- much better than my Cayenne’s air suspension shocks.

But the car itself is pretty “meh”. Feels very desensitised and sluggish compared to the old Cayenne.

I swapped out the passenger door that I smashed against a gas pump bollard for one I bought from a wreck last weekend. Overall a very easy process, but you have to have a 10mm triple square socket to get the lower door hinge off. Last weekend I had the worn out Hakkapelittas swapped for some cheap snow tires in 235/60R18 size, and then I drove to Ithaca and back in freezing rain to take my youngest back to school.
