GIAC chip for Cayenne Turbo now available from AWE Tuning
Hello all.
GIAC has finished the custom tuning on their AWD Mustang Chassis Dyno and the results are incredible. The gains on 92-94 octane are 45hp and 60lb/ft of torque. Gains on 91 octane will be slightly lower.
For those of you unfamiliar with AWE Tuning, we are located in Willow Grove, PA about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. We are GIAC's oldest and largest distributor. We specialize in Porsche/Audi/VW performance as well as manufacturer our own line of exhausts products.
AWE Tuning also uses the identical AWD Mustang Chassis Dyno, so if you are local, we can do before and after tests for your records.
The retail pricing of the chip is $2000. For an additional $50 we can give you the ability to return your vehicle to stock by simply removing the GIAC chip and replacing it with a socketed stock chip.
The engine computer does not require a mechanical engineering degree to remove and we offer a very quick turnaround time. If your computer is sent overnight on a Monday and received on a Tuesday morning, we will do the install and have it back by Wednesday morning. If you are local to AWE Tuning, installs can be done in an hour provided you have an appointment.
For those of you that are driving the normally aspirated Cayenne, software will be available shortly. I cannot specify any gains as of yet, but I will post as soon as I know.
If you have any questions please feel free to call, email, smoke signal or carrier pigeon.
Thank you for your time.

How long would installation take?
Hey Mike,
I live in Ithaca. It is probabaly about a 3 hour drive - I was wondering how long it would take to get a GIAC chip installed for my Cayenne. Maybe one is not being offered yet, but when it is I am interested in getting one with maybe 3 or four software options.
Thanks,
James

The IBE chipswitch is still in R&D for the Cayenne. Once the unit is released, the install time is roughly an hour.
