WTB manual Cayenne
Not having any luck with the usual sites; anybody have, or know anybody that has an '08-'10 manual for sale? V6 practicality preferred but GTS fun considered! Thanks much.

What's wrong with the 2008 GTS? Yes the PCM is pretty much useless but I don't know of any other differences with the 09 and 10s. I think options are more important. I waited till I found a 6MT with the PDCC and the full leather. Plus the 4 zone AC has been an unexpected bonus during these hot summer months.

^saw that one as well- the GTS and its power continue to tempt me, but the quasi rational side of me says the V6 will suit my needs better. Plus, coming from a manual X5- even the slow six banger will feel speedy compared to the sluggish 3.0 X5...

The GTS gearing and V8 grunt accommodates skipping gears. Most times its 3-4 shifts to reach highway speeds.

Well it seems that the only v6 957 manual for sale in the U.S. That I've come across Is an '08 W/ 134,000 miles and was a trade in to a non Porsche dealer... the mileage and lack of verifiable service history are telling me to keep looking... Thoughts?

The 957 V6 is very reliable...200Kmi is a possibility with reasonable maintenance costs.
As a city cruiser the V6 should be adequate for a 5000lb truck but highway driving is another story.
From P
Porsche claims 0-60-mph acceleration is in the low 8-second bracket.
I don't see the advantage or fun factor in a V6 M/T Cayenne. I imagine rowing through all 6 gears is a must. A pain IMO since its not equipped with a sport shifter, the throws are rather long.
A co worker who owned a 958 6cy M/T Cayenne seemed pleased with the performance. Maybe consider a later model?

The one difference between the V6 and V8 that might make be considered is the 4:10 gearing on the V8. As a result, I started in Second unless on a hill. 2950RPMs at 70mph was also a little high for relaxed cruising, but sounded fabulous with the Sport Exhaust active.
