Default WTB manual Cayenne

Not having any luck with the usual sites; anybody have, or know anybody that has an '08-'10 manual for sale? V6 practicality preferred but GTS fun considered! Thanks much.

There is a white GTS FS on this forum. Search for "manual GTS."

This is a different one:

^ I've considered the white one from CA but logistically it's not feasible. Thanks though!

2009-2010 GTS is the one you want. Even if it takes a while to get one. It took me about a year to get the right one. Less than 500 produced world wide.

Happy hunting! I'll enjoy mine thoroughly until sold.

What's wrong with the 2008 GTS? Yes the PCM is pretty much useless but I don't know of any other differences with the 09 and 10s. I think options are more important. I waited till I found a 6MT with the PDCC and the full leather. Plus the 4 zone AC has been an unexpected bonus during these hot summer months.

^saw that one as well- the GTS and its power continue to tempt me, but the quasi rational side of me says the V6 will suit my needs better. Plus, coming from a manual X5- even the slow six banger will feel speedy compared to the sluggish 3.0 X5...

Maybe but the V8 exhaust note is intoxicating IMO. No mods required, the GTS is equipped with PSE (sport exhaust)
The GTS gearing and V8 grunt accommodates skipping gears. Most times its 3-4 shifts to reach highway speeds.

Nothing wrong, amazing car. I just really prefer the newer PCM.

Well it seems that the only v6 957 manual for sale in the U.S. That I've come across Is an '08 W/ 134,000 miles and was a trade in to a non Porsche dealer... the mileage and lack of verifiable service history are telling me to keep looking... Thoughts?

Have your tried searching on Autotrader? There are a number of 957 GTS w/6MT and 958 V6 6MT listed.

I suppose it depends on the price.
The 957 V6 is very reliable...200Kmi is a possibility with reasonable maintenance costs.

As a city cruiser the V6 should be adequate for a 5000lb truck but highway driving is another story.

From P
Porsche claims 0-60-mph acceleration is in the low 8-second bracket.

I don't see the advantage or fun factor in a V6 M/T Cayenne. I imagine rowing through all 6 gears is a must. A pain IMO since its not equipped with a sport shifter, the throws are rather long.

A co worker who owned a 958 6cy M/T Cayenne seemed pleased with the performance. Maybe consider a later model?

The one difference between the V6 and V8 that might make be considered is the 4:10 gearing on the V8. As a result, I started in Second unless on a hill. 2950RPMs at 70mph was also a little high for relaxed cruising, but sounded fabulous with the Sport Exhaust active.
