i have the black painted 21" spec ed wheel option on my MY2011. The wheel nuts are covered by shiny black plastic caps. Are these caps factory? If not have the nuts been changed, I'm sure Porsche didn't put silver nuts on these wheels. Would someone that has the same let me know what's on theirs? Thanks

As far as I know Porsche does not use caps. You can either get silver bolts that rust pretty bad or black bolts that don't seem to rust. I replaced my rusted silver bolts with black bolts a few years ago and they are still rust free even with rough PA winters.

Mine are the 22" Porsche replica and I do not have caps at all (spraypainted the lugs for a quickie fix)


E: Just saw the reply before mine. I am quite sure theyre caps, he might have a similar situation as myself. At the P dealerships it always looks like they have the cayennes on 20+ even though P does'nt make it AFAIK, I always wondered if the P dealership would use them to sell cars.

rloggie - I suspect those black plastic caps are aftermarket. Porsche OEM wheel bolts for black wheels come coated black, no plastic caps.
