Default Pirelli Scorpion A/T vs. Dunlop Grandtrek WT

Which one for winter use in Chicago were we can get slammed with a lake effect snow storm and get 18" of snow but by weeks end streets are plowed and driving on dry salt covered streets until next snow fall?

Temps can stay well below 0 January through end of February.

Ironically, I just received a "faulty information" letter from Porsche. Related to the Christophorus 304 October/November article. They actually recommend a Dunlop 235/65 R17. I thought the brakes where too big to go smaller than a 18". Who exactly will make the wheel and what size would it be?

Default Cayenne Turbo Ice Tires

To those of you in the northern latitudes, the Dunlop M3 Tire is the best I've seen in icing, raining, and dry weather conditions for the Cayenne Turbo in an 18" rim. An all-weather tire generally is NOT an efficient ice tire. Rubber compounding, siping, irrigation grooving, and cord material are all elements to consider. When you go to your dealer I suggest you investigate these factors. Four wheel drive and PSM are NOT enough to save you in arctic conditions.
