Drivers side is purple and passenger side is normal. Bulb failure or something else?

Yeah, pretty neat. I wondered the same thing when this was happening. Drivers side is burning out. Time for a new set of bulbs. Simple change too!

When one of your Xenons start to turn a purple hue, the bulb needs replacing. Make sure to replace both sides since it's only a matter of time befoe the other one fails.

Whenever I have a bulb go out I always replace both. Keep the one that didn't burn out yet and keep it as a spare in the trunk just in case!

+1 for replacing both at the same time. The color temperature and brightness change over time. If they aren't changed in pairs, they will always look a little different.

Hi guys,

I bought a 09 Turbo S yesterday and just realized that the small bulb in the middle of the 2 big bulbs failed working on the passengers side. Is it possible to replace the bulb ourself or do we need to bring our Cayenne to the dealers to get the job done? If we can do it ourself how can I replace the bulb?

Big thanks!

I think the owner's manual shows how to change the bulbs.

Don't know for sure about the 957, but the manual for the 955 shows how to replace all the bulbs in the housing.

I would guess that the 957 is the same.

Big thanks! its on page 327 in the manual. Am I correct that the bulb in the middle is the halogen bulb?

OK replaced both bulbs tonight. Took all about 15 minutes, and only that long b/c I was in the dark. Really easy job. Got the bulbs off amazon for 95.08 for a pair. They look great and exactly like the oem bulbs that I replaced. Thanks for everyone's help!
