Default Blocked washer jets

Does anyone know the best way to clear blocked washer jets on the Cayenne?

My passenger side jet only reaches the bottom quarter of the windscreen so the wipers just smear the dirt and bugs across the screen. Drivers side seems to be fine.

If they're not blocked, can they be adjusted to point further up the windscreen?

Looks like they just pop out. You can then use a fine wire to clean the nozzles.

Alternately, you can replace them for about $12 each at the Suncoast Porsche parts website

I should have mentioned my car is a 957.

Are those jets from the 958? The jets on mine have a square body rather than the long rounded off body.

I'll try taking them out and poking some wire in the nozzles, it looks a bit awkward to do them in situ

Yes, those are for a 958. I looked up the ones at Sonnen Porsche parts for a 2010 957 and they are $9.78 ea before shipping and handling

Those are cheap! It's a shame I'm in Abu Dhabi and the delivery cost will be waaay more than what the washer jets are worth, i'll have to go to the stealership if I can't get them unblocked. Cheers for looking for me though!

The problem may also lie with the check valve. The valve sometimes sticks and will not allow full pressure to the nozzles.

Disconnect the hose from the nozzle, then use compressed air to blow backward from the nozzle jet towards the hose end. The debris being lodged at the jet will now exit the larger hose end.

I tried poking the outlet on the washer jet in situ with a pin but it made no difference. I would say either the debris is further down the jet or the check valve as mentioned by Andy.

How do the jets come out and how can I get to the check valve? It it worth flushing some hot (not boiling) water through the system to see if it dislodges anything? The PO left the car in the hot sun a lot and a lot of the plastic parts have become brittle, i'm worried something is going to snap!

Got this sorted whilst the car was in the garage getting the diff oils changed (which was in really bad condition at only 106k km (or 66k miles)!!). They used the air compressor to blow down the nozzles and that freed up the water flow.

The jets are on a bit of a hinge/pivot so you can move them up and down with your fingers to sort the aim out - mine had more going on the car behind than my windscreen!!
