Just make sure they install the US trailer plug.

Mine came with Euro plug; my servicing dealer charged me $94 to install US plug. PCNA reimbursed me after I requested it. That was my test for them - they passed (thankfully).

Your ballpark is way outta the park. Its more like 1,800 or so, and your technician has to cut the rear bumper cover, without a template. It can be done obviously, but it isnt cheap.

peace

This must some hitch! I have nevr heard of a class 3 hitch being so much. There must be an aftermarket hitch available, Porsche is not in the hitch making business. Find out the supplier.

The way i understand it, its not just a hitch, since it is bolted to the structure, it also replaces the crashboxes/actual bumpers hidden under the bumper cover. When you refit the hitch, you are also replacing the crash boxes as well, hence the extra expense. We've done a few here, and thats how i know.

( my tech was mad when he found out the hitch was for a bicycle carrier!)

Peace
PB

Westfalia makes Porsche's hitches.
