Default 955 Electrical Issue

I have an 04 cayenne s with 155k.
Getting a bunch of electrical issues as well as timing issues(most likely not the same cause). There is a short somewhere that is killing the battery within a day.
It needs timing done but I want to fix the electrical issues first.
The codes I'm getting from the durametric are below.

Main one I'm concerned about (besides timing and misfires) is electrical fault 2196, terminal 30 fuse for VES control module.

Anyone ever seen this fault or have any information on terminal 30 fuse? Also, where is the VES control module? Under the seat?

There are many VES vehicle electrical system modules in a Cayenne. The number depends on the options. All have a terminal 30, some are hot at all times. This explains the dead battery after one day.

Fortunately many of the modules are fused individually.

To diagnose which module is at fault I would insert a DC ammeter in series with the + battery cable. Since the battery dies in one day the current could be several amps. Begin removing one fuse at a time until there is a substantial drop in battery current. There will always be some current draw, maybe .25a

When you identify the fuse report back so we can trace the wiring for that module.

BTW my manual does not list a 2196 fault. It could be a generic system wide fault.
