Hi, everyone! I am new here and I am wondering buy a 2016 base cayenne. my question is, is the msrp negotiable? for a MSRP 65000 cayenne, how much i can lower from the dealer? any suggestion will be appreciated!!!

 

Every MSRP is negotiable. How much you get off depends on several things, one of which is location (you didnt mention what part of the country you are in). I got about 6% off on my 2015 when I ordered it. You should be able to get a little more or less depending on your negotiation skills and the number of dealers fighting for your business in your region.

My advise is to negotiate over email of phone as that seems to work best. Once you are on their lot, they have a little more control. You can easily see what is in stock at most dealers through their site.

 

The invoice price for the car is 10%. The trunk money for the dealer is another 5% but that is based on a few different things. Not all dealers will get that extra percentage.

I special ordered a Cayenne Diesel a few months ago and was able to get ~8.5% off of MSRP. When that whole thing fell through thanks to VW I special ordered a Cayenne S and was able to get 11% of off MSRP.

Like he said location matters. These discounts worked because there are 9 dealers with a hour drive of me. I have heard in a few parts of the west you pay MSRP or you don't buy from them.

That should give you enough to go on.
