Default Motor swap options

So I just bought an 08 cs.
After all the searching and the paranoia about cylinder scoring i put together a worst case scenario just in case we run into issues.

While searching I find almost no availability on any used motors for the b Vin 4.8.. But quite a few for the d Vin (gts).

The gts are also cheaper motors. What is the possibility of swapping out the gts motor into an s?

Next question.... I am interested in getting a used scored block if anyone has a scourge. I want to begin the rebuild process as a side project and begin putting together a full motor to keep or sell at cost just to have a cool project.

I have many years experience building high performance motorcycle engines and marine motors. We have some good machine shops here that we quire skilled at nikasil etc.. As this is what many outboards have gone to.

I am at the coast of NC.

Wrong year range and motor spec.

I just bought an 08.

Looking for a project motor. I would like to acquire a short block and begin the rebuilding process now and slowly at my pace get a fresh motor ready to drop in next year.

I am having huge issues

Has anyone tried an LS-6? That would be a project!

Can't find one yet... Only a matter of time before renegade or someone makes up the stuff....

Computer coding will be the worst part I imagine.

So anyone know if a gts will work in an s?
