Anybody else have the black calipers that are spotted? My other car has red ones which use a high gloss. I had a Porsche few years back and I swear the black was a nice, maybe flat I don't remember, but didn't have blotches. When I had it serviced the weekend I noticed other new Porsches that had the black and blotchy spotted calipers. I also noticed that they are going to a sand-blasted plain version on some of the new models. It's a small thing but I've always been fond of the look....any color. I'm OK with the flat black, the spots/blotches are bothersome

 

the silver calipers on my S where that semi matte finish and would get stains and blotches. I never could get them back to like new. Still, even stained they still were better looking than BMW brakes.

 

could it be tire shine overspray on them? I powdercoated mine on day one, so I haven't dealt with that issue.

 

Diesels have Black, like soot
