I just ordered the MTP-95R/H9. Will be at my Indy tomorrow. Let ya know how tight it is.

Correction: Batter did not arrive yesterday... It'll be today.... Not soon enough for me....

On the way home last night, ck engine light came on again... Right blinker wouldn't work, then left blinker wouldn't work... Dipped Beam left... and left cornering light error...

Put new low beam in, still nothing. Blinkers are fine now....

Cleared codes last night, odd thing, Kessy still doesn't work , have not done the resistors and MOSFETS yet, but the Kessy system threw no faults on the Duramatic..

This morning, turned key to start and I got a short grunt, then had to cycle key left and back to start -was fine...

This afternoon, new battery and test drive... Test Kessy... If still doesn't work will do the Kessy fix with the parts I ordered from Mouser...

I may order a white cloth and a pole so I can build a white flag... Stay tuned!

Default Update 10/8/15 on Kessey, new battery, etc

New Intersate battery installed tonight, the battery it replaced was only 6 months old, tested fine at Indy.. I replaced iut anyway.. He had a code ready and both new and old battery when in the CTT, threw a 125 code? He wsasn't sure what that meant. Both tested fine, no 125 code whn out of the car... The old battery was slightly smaller and tested at 800CCA...

Started car drove off...

Went to my buddies house, removed the Kessy module, with new parts in hand... Tested the resistors and Mosfets in the board 1st, they all tested fine - no issue, didn't replace them. Reinstalled Kesy unit. Press the Lock button on the door, and get message on dash that reads, put vihilce in Park.. It was in partk...

Thinking that the "Park error was casue by the shift gate, I replaced that last week.

I still think the issue is a transmission module/short and do get an error on the Duramatic that reads, Error 1626 battery voltage terminal 30 short circuit to ground ?????

Also , NO erros from Kessy any longer when run Durametric tests... My bet is that there is a short in a trasmission plug causing the drain, which was killing the other battery AND not allowing the Kessy to work because it thinks it;s in gear - not in Park...

Last , left headlight that I replaced last night, seems there was nothing wrong with the bulb as we tested pliugging in the headlight unit withut having the harness in the keeper - and the headlight worked... I did notice tha almost every wire in the short harness had a crack thru the wire insulation and that there was bare copper wires showing thru. So I guess I need a new harness... Anyone have a part #?

But back to my main concern, anyone have ideas, on this ? - 1626 battery voltage terminal 30 short circuit to ground ?????

Am I having fun yet?

Sorry dude, but you'll need to back up a bit. How many miles on the car? Where did you buy it from and what documents came with it? Was none of this revealed on the PPI, or did it just start happening?

Have you cleared all the codes to see what comes back?

Had the car 3 weeks. 112K miles.

Started happening the day after I got it... 1st one thing then another... Started wwith the Kessy not locking the doors. Only thing I can think of that I left the key in the console overnight.. Just in the console, next day - No locks... Came with Durametric, seem to be cleaing the codes daily...

Not much for docs came from the prior owner.. I drove the car home 200 miles the night I got it... No issues..

I'm a little discouraged....

Did you do a PPI or have a mechanic look at it? I doubt this started happening right after you got it.

I regret to say that I did not...

On a positive note, just for grins, I put the dummy key in and tried the Kessy this morning and it worked! Not sure if removing and reinstalling it did something or if it was the new Interstate battery, but, I'll take it...

No check engine light this morning either- yet...

Headlight wiring harness is the culprit of that though...

After driving home tonight I will see if am getting any codes.. Bet I am , but, for now I'll take the win with the Kessy, even if temporary...

Oof. I'm guessing it was doing this before the seller sold the car

The headlight issue is common, FWIW. It has to do with the plastic holder that the headlight slides into deflecting backwards, resulting in the harness not seating properly in the headlight.

Check ECS tuning for the harness. It's listed under the lighting section. If you have cracked wires, maybe try replacing the harness, and cutting out the sides so you just plug the harness into the headlight, and reseat it. Do a search on dipped beam fix as there is a big thread on it.

I'd scan for codes again and then clear them to see what comes back. The tranny pin code might be legit, but the rest might be ancillary.

the real fix for the headlight issue is to remove the wiring connector from the plastic tray. cut that section out of the tray and wire the connector to the headlight, simple, easy, no issues after that is done. do a search for it, I know I've seen a few posts that helped me when I had mine.

My plan is to do the wiring harness fix tonight but cutting away the plastic and connecting directly to the headlight...

Then clearing all codes...

Just went to lunch ~ 10 miles round trip in the rain..., still no Check engine light, Kessy worked, dummy key worked...

Still getting "move Selector lever to P" even with car shut off and dummy key in.. also, getting "turn key to left for 2 seconds" ¿?

I don't get it.

I am also getting the two messages, "Move selector lever to P" and "Turn key to the left for 2 seconds".

I assumed it was one of the sensors in the shift gate trim.

When you move your shift lever to the "Manual" position, does it show on the dashboard? Are you able to shift manually with the shifter?

I can't shift with the shfiter and the dashboard shows D regardless of if its in D or M on the shifter.

The buttons on the steering wheel work and when I use them it shows M on the dashboard, so that's why I figured, like you, that the car doesn't know where the shifter is, hence the sensors.

Battery finally arrived today, what a pain it is to install the first time. Not sure if it happens with everyone but when I connected the ground it sparked like there was a open ground issue. When I started the car and now I have a suspension error and the psm light is on in the dash. I run the suspension all the way up and down and turned the psm on and off but still exist. Durametrics comes in Monday so have to put up with it till then I guess.

Do you know where the sensors are for the shift gate trim? I was kinda thinking oh relacing the circuit board above the shift gate trim..
