not preprogrammed and no need to go to dealer. you reset them yourself through the PCM. You tell it rim size and whether full or partial load, then drive and it resets them.

Right, but as I understand if you buy a TPMS platform that is multi vehicle capable it does need to be "programmed" using a device provided by the manufacturer

Have a look

All I would need is tire, rim, and sensor per set right?

Got winter tires for my second hand 2011, 20" oem rims yesterday.
The tire guy used sensors from CUB.
To be sure he scanned the oem sensors in my 2016 summer wheels. And programmed it into the CUB sensors.
They worked fine :-)

Hi Larry,

Have you find the place for your Cayenne yet? My car is in Leipzig factory right now, will be delivered by end of Oct. By then, I will also be looking for winter tire, RIM and TPMS. I am at Toronto, maybe we can go together to get better deal. Please let me know. Thanks.

Sounds good.

BTW, I saw this in another thread

"Find an empty parking lot - drive slowly in a tight circle, do this 3-4 laps in one direction, then repeat the other direction.., then drive off - it'll register instantly afterwards - works every time for me!"

Hello, Sorry you're a little late. I would have done it if you would asked me earlier. I bought some rims and tires from the U.S on eBay. I asked my family member to pick it up for me. Saved me a lot more money than buying from dealer. Dealer wanted $3500 + tax for 4. Bought tire sensors from Tirerack for $252 USD. Good luck!
