Default Front control arm DIY?

I am sure one must exist, but I can't find it. Can anyone post a link? I can find numerous threads on the topic but no true DIY threads. I also checked Pelican to see if they had one to no avail.

Thanks.

Not much to say about it. You unbolt the old one, and bolt up the new one. You need a ball joint separator. The fork styles will work fine, but make sure the tines are really short since they'll hit the back of the brakes if they're long. You will also want to mark the two bolt heads on the chassis side with a marker, or something, so you can get the alignment reasonably right when you install the new ones. The other option is to get an actual ball joint separator, which will make things a bit easier. The only critical aspect is ensuring that you tighten all the new hardware with the control arm in the normal weighted position. You can either wait and torque everything after the car is resting on the ground again, or you can use a jack under the balljoint to raise the arm.

Here are the steps

Jack up car
Index bolt heads and chassis (2 per side)
Loosen all hardware
Separate ball joint
Remove hardware and drop control arm
Reverse for install.
Go for drive and listen for knocking or looseness. Drive to alignment shop. Done.

While you're in there, I'd do the sway bar bushings. They're 40 bucks total for the front and easy to do while the car is in the air. They'll start squeaking on you eventually.
