I have an early Cayenne (2004) and my tail lamps are shot. I bought new ones but the factory replacements are different because the Plug is different. I was told you can just plug the lights in because the plug is 2 piece - just pull the plug apart. It sure looks like 1 piece to me. I don't want to destroy the plug. Does anyone know if it is 2 piece and if so how do I get it apart? Brute force and ignorance?

 

Post a picture? They may mean take out the bulb holders and reuse them. That would make the most sense to me.
