Default 2012 TPMS

I have 20" Spyder take-offs from a 2012 S. The wheels & tires were in storage until this spring when I bought them and installed them on my 2015 CD.

The TPMS sensors from 2012 do not communicate with the receivers in my CD so I had to replace them with the newer version.

Since the TPMS sensors are sealed and the batteries will eventually die, I would appreciate suggestions on the expected remaining useful life and the present value of these TPMS sensors.

Thanks

This may not be useful information for Porsche TPMS sensors, but it's better than the current responses.

This past January I traded in a 2006 Toyota 4Runner. The TPMS sensors had just begun to indicate, via blinking dashboard LED, a low battery state.

Are you asking since you want to sell them? The dealer service says the sensors can be expected to live about 7-8 years. If your car was a 2012 model year, assembled in 2011, they might work for another 3 years? Since OEM aftermarket ones are $150 for a complete set of 4, I doubt you could sell them. Hope that helps!
